Waiting for my wool to arrive to start knitting a poncho. I've made up the pattern so just got to choose which wool to use.
Might do a pink hat while I'm waiting and use up some nasty acrylic.

Here is a photo of my best knitting project ever - a knitted baby blanket for young Will. It is made from Merino wool which I bought in the wool shop in Westfield Centre, Auckland. The wool is very soft and easy to knit with. When we went to sheep world we saw a Merino Ram and he had masses of soft wool.

Today I have won three auctions of wool on TradeMe. I'm going to make a poncho for myself next. I've won some beige wool, some red wool and some green wool I think. Not sure which to use for the poncho yet, I'll wait for them to arrive before deciding.

This weekend I got my PADI diving qualification at Poor Knights in New Zealand.
There were loads of fish and we had a brilliant instructor who made everything very simple. We dived at Blue Mau Mau Arch, Nusery Cove and Gentle Forest. Blue Mau Mau Arch was amazing - just like those TV programmes on fish. Nursery Cove had loads of infant fish, hence the name.
It was 17 degrees C in the water, but I didn't find it too cold after the initial shock of jumping in.
