I've made up the pattern so just got to choose which wool to use.

Might do a pink hat while I'm waiting and use up some nasty acrylic.

It is made from Merino wool which I bought in the wool shop in Westfield Centre, Auckland. The wool is very soft and easy to knit with. When we went to sheep world we saw a Merino Ram and he had masses of soft wool.

I'm going to make a poncho for myself next. I've won some beige wool, some red wool and some green wool I think. Not sure which to use for the poncho yet, I'll wait for them to arrive before deciding.

These multicoloured socks are lovely and warm, if slightly too big. Whoever invented the sock pattern was very clever. The pair took ages to knits - off and on from November to May! But I like the multicoloured wool, which makes it more interesting.

There were loads of fish and we had a brilliant instructor who made everything very simple. We dived at Blue Mau Mau Arch, Nusery Cove and Gentle Forest. Blue Mau Mau Arch was amazing - just like those TV programmes on fish. Nursery Cove had loads of infant fish, hence the name.

It was 17 degrees C in the water, but I didn't find it too cold after the initial shock of jumping in.

The sun is shining so I will be going out and not knitting today.
